Understand theory but without taking action is just an empty talk

The harsh truth

Talk is cheap

I have seem so many people that they can talking a lot without stopping at any topic, You can sense that he or she understands a lot, having unlimited knowledge at their head. However when comes to taking action, they are shrinking as potato. They won't have any achievements at their life, why? The answer is obvious cause they mess up the relationship between theory and practice.

Understand theory does not mean you absorb the knowledge.

learning theory from people is good, but it is not enough. You are lacking a crucial process: practice.

The important of practice

True understanding comes from practice. When you practice, you face real problems, and those problems are specific to your own goal, not someone else’s. For example, in coding, you may spend a lot of time learning C++ theory. But if your real goal is to build websites, then you may be going in the wrong direction. For web development, the better path is to learn JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. C++ theory may be useful for someone who wants to make games, build software systems, or work with performance-heavy programs, but it may not be the right starting point for you. Do you see the difference? The theory may work for other people, but not for your goal. That is why you have to take action and practice. Once you start practicing, real problems will appear. Then you solve them one by one. In the end, you will gain precious real skills that truly belong to you. A stronger sentence you can remember: Practice reveals your real problems, and solving those problems builds your real skill.
